(Short-Form)

The Burning Topic had the hard part already handled — two hosts, real conversations, guests worth listening to. What it didn't have was a way out of the room. Clips were a camera pointed at a couch: wide, static, uncaptioned. They were landing between 4K and 6K views, and they had been landing there for a while.

We took over the short-form cut. Tight single-subject framing instead of the two-shot. Hooks burned into the first frame — a stated position, not a description of the scene. Colour and sound treated so the clip reads as deliberate in a feed full of noise.

Short-form is a power law, so we didn't optimise for the average. We optimised for the outlier — enough swings, enough variation in hook and topic, that something breaks out. Something did.

(The Result)
572.9K Views on the best-performing clip.
97× Peak clip vs. the channel's previous best of 5,919.
630K+ Total views across the run of clips we cut.

Straight talk: the median clip stayed roughly where it was. What changed was the ceiling — and on short-form, the ceiling is the whole game. One breakout does more for a channel than fifty steady performers.
